ZUMBA® TONING

 

Zumba® Toning takes the Zumba® Basics class to the next level of fitness. Zumba® Toning utilizes muscle toning and sculpting exercises and combines them with the dance-fitness movements and rhythms from Zumba®Basics. The toning and sculpting exercises either use body resistance movements (for example, lunges and/or squats) and/or we utilize light hand weights or Zumba ®Toning sticks for added resistance. 

Zumba ®Toning is a great way to add a little extra spice to your regular Zumba ®Basics routine and it’s a great way to introduce the concepts of light resistance training, body sculpting and toning for those participants unfamiliar with these types of exercises formats.

There are many benefits to weighted workouts;

  • Improved muscle tone, definition and strength
  • Improved muscle balance and posture
  • Increased lean muscle mass with a reduction in body fat
  • Increased metabolic function
  • Increased mind-body connection

The purpose of the Zumba® Toning program is to create a resistance training fitness experience for the participant in a class setting that is safe, effective and fun!

Zumba® Toning will be integrated into the Zumba ®Basics class at f.i.t. first in training on Saturday mornings at 9:30am. JOIN THE ZUMBA® TONING PARTY at f.i.t.!!!

As a nationally certified  AFAA Primary Group Fitness Instructor experienced in teaching muscle conditioning classes and as a trained and certified Zumba® Toning Instructor I will guide you through a Zumba® Toning class that is not only FUN but safe and effective.
